Origin Stories
During social studies we learned about american indians and some of their origin stories. we got into groups and created our own origin stories. Mason and Devin were in a group and Ryan and was in a group with Kylee. Mason and Devin’s story started in a Dome and a sorcerer created the world. Ryan and Kylee’s story was about a gigantic explosion that created a planet and over time plants and animals were created and so were humans.
Classroom Economy
In our class, we are going to try out something new. It is called classroom economy. Classroom Economy is when you rent your desk and you have to pay for it every so often. You can also have auctions, where you can bid on desks and more. We are also going to do checks like in real life to fit the theme. The class decided to do checks since we’re doing checks in math. Some other ideas the class had for classroom economy are that you can get your own job, make paper money, bring already used gift cards to use as fake credit cards, and make your own mailboxes plus many more good ideas that we can not fit on this page. Opening Doors
At the opening doors kickoff we made pledges of success.We talked about how people said they couldn't afford going to college and that people wanted to change that by getting people good enough education to get a scholarship for college. We will go on a lot of field trips.
Class Dojo
Class dojo is a rewarding system. You earn points and you can have the least points or you can get the most. You can make a little monster on class dojo. You can lose points by being off task and that will be bad. You can get a point for the seven habits. There are different ways to get points.
Fantasy Stories
In class we are writing fantasy stories. Fantasy stories are when you make up a story and you can make characters that talk but can’t really talk in real life/make believe things. One story has magic, talking animals,and monsters. We have been working on this for 2 weeks. We are having lots of fun working on these stories. We are still revising and editing on them. Our stories are getting better and better and we can’t wait for everyone to see them!
