Updates from 5A

Miss Reid

We have a student teacher named Miss.Reid and she is the best. Miss.Reid has helped us by getting computers out and grading papers while Miss.Armstrong teaches us. She does many things to help around the classroom plus she is super nice. Unfortunately today 12/5 is Miss.Reid's last day at school with us. Everyone is sad,, but everyone in the class is making sure she is happy by making her our own present, so that means that she gets 22 things. Some people made her cards that we will surprise her with. We are super sad that she has to leave, but thankful for what she has done for us and Miss Armstrong.Today/Friday We will be having a small suprise party at the end of the day where we will give her our presents and eat TREATS.WE WILL MISS YOU MISS REID.

These past few weeks we have been using code in imc we learned how to make monsters dance and also we learned how to move angry birds throw the maze and hope on the pigs we also have been making elsa and anna draw lines these has improved our ed.

Music Auditions

In music, we are going to do a musical in February. It’s called Hero’s All. We are going to have auditions during our recess. You do not have to audition if you don’t want to. You can audition for four people. They are Nellie Bly, Her boss, Booker T. Washington, and his mom. These are the parts that you have to speak if you want any part in the play. It won’t necessarily mean that you will that particular part. Ms.Johnson (music teacher) will also give you speaking parts that you don’t know so she can see your abilities. We can also have solos in the musical. We have learned the songs Hero’s All, Jesse, Nellie Bly and Think (Albert Einstein). The people who don’t get a part will just sing the songs. Once we’ve all learned our solos and parts, we will start trying to practice our musical. We are so proud to have such a great show and for Ms.Johnson!

Upcoming 5th Grade Concert

Throughout the school year Konnor and I have been band and orchestra. I play the saxaphone and Konnor plays the cello! We have been practicing in the school year at Evans jr. high in the morning. I have 7 songs and Konnor has 4. We did this every single day and work really hard .Our concert is on the 16th and 8th. We are very happy to play these instruments. Jack is playing hot cross buns, marry had a little lamb, mary had a cool lamb, good king wenceslas dreidel song and rock the house. Konnors is playing poastcards from val leroy, twinkle twinkle little star, and jolly old st nicholas. Some of our friends and family members are coming too!
